Sterile Processing Supplier-Funded Scholarships

HSPA is pleased to partner with our vendor community to provide scholarship opportunities to our current and future members. Please select the scholarship that best suits your needs—whether educational or other, read through the criteria, and when applicable, simply apply directly with the participating vendor.

SCHOLARSHIP

PURDUE UNIVERSITY

 

IAHCSMM and Purdue University join together to offer two scholarships for correspondence courses. The purpose of these scholarships is to provide financial assistance to individuals who wish to continue their educational and individual growth and prepare for either the CRCST or CHL certification.

Two categories have been established for these awards:

  1. Central Sterile Supply Department Technicians
  2. Central Sterile Supply Department Managers/Supervisors

One recipient in each category will receive free registration and all course materials for the respective Purdue/IAHCSMM non-credit correspondence course (these scholarships are nontransferable, and all course requirements must be met for successful completion).

SCHOLARSHIP ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Applicants will be evaluated on the following criteria from the completed application, personal essay, and letter of reference from an immediate supervisor.

  1. Financial need
  2. Interest in pursuing educational and individual growth goals
  3. Participation in activities (Association, hospital department, community)
  4. Years of service in Central Sterile Supply.
