Mercy Ships Scholarship

The HSPA Foundation provided scholarships for two CRCST certification holders and active members of HSPA to volunteer on a medical mission with Mercy Ships as an Operating Room Sterile Processing Technician—a critical role that helps provide safe, high-quality care to patients in need. These scholarships provided up to $10,000 to cover each volunteer’s room and board, travel and other expenses and also help offset their salary during the mission.

Congratulations to Kimberly Polard and Carrie Fry!

Kimberly Polard, CRCST, CIS, CHL, CER, will serve from September 28 to November 8 aboard the Africa Mercy vessel in Madagascar. Carrie Fry, CRCST, CIS, CER, CHL, will serve from Octover 5 to November 15 on the Global Mercy vessel in Sierra Leone.
