Jeffrey Boja Biography

I will support HSPA’s mission by growing the work-based learning pipeline and investing in younger future techs early. I have seen firsthand that the younger they are exposed to Sterile Processing, the deeper their appreciation and skills become. In our department, we had two high school students enter through a work-based learning program. They trained with us, developed strong fundamentals, and were hired even before graduation into permanent roles. I want to help strengthen and expand that kind of pathway so more students can discover this field early, train hands-on, and build a long-term career in the SPD.  

I will also continue connecting with perioperative partners through shared learning and exposure opportunities—bringing SPD, OR, AORN, and soon AST together in real-world education settings. When teams learn side by side, respect grows and patient care improves. My goal is simple and consistent: support HSPA by building people early, developing skills through real practice, and raising the next generation of proud, competent Sterile Processing professionals.
