Angela Warner Biography

I am a Sterile Processing Supervisor and recognized leader at Children’s Hospital Colorado, with 23 years of Sterile Processing experience and 18 years of dedicated membership in HSPA. I have served in every area of the Sterile Processing department, including education, operations and multiple leadership roles at local and regional levels. This diverse background has equipped me with a deep, practical understanding of the profession and its evolving challenges.  

I currently serve as a Director on the HSPA Board, where I actively support initiatives that advance education, strengthen certification pathways, and elevate resources for Sterile Processing professionals worldwide. My contributions include serving as a Subject Matter Expert for test development, participating in textbook chapter creation, and supporting national conference planning—roles that have expanded my ability to collaborate effectively and advocate for frontline technicians and leaders alike.  

As Secretary/Treasurer, I would apply my strong organizational skills and financial stewardship to ensure accurate documentation of Board decisions and transparent oversight of the Association’s fiscal responsibilities. I remain committed to enhancing patient safety, expanding access to professional education, and championing certification programs that reinforce the expertise and recognition of Sterile Processing professionals.  

I recognize the profession is navigating urgent issues such as workforce shortages, rapid advancements in technology, and the need for consistent patient safety standards. I am dedicated to addressing these challenges through strategic initiatives that strengthen recruitment, broaden educational access, and foster collaboration with key healthcare partners. 

With a passion for leadership and unwavering commitment to excellence, I am focused on strengthening the voice of Sterile Processing professionals and ensuring that every HSPA initiative drives progress, innovation and improved patient safety for the future.
