Description

Transfer of robotics to Highland Park in Spring 2020 uncovered the need to review most up-to-date device IFUs and enhance existing workflows before moving the work. Sterile Processing Staff unfamiliar with these arms commented that they “looked so easy” to process when in fact these devices are one of the most complex from a reprocessing standpoint. A cycle of continuous improvement began through plan-do-study-act. (PDSA), as the OR and SPD teams worked together for the next year to define and refine processes based on best practices.
