Virtual Focus Groups

Companies seeking to bring smaller subsets of pre-qualified Sterile Processing professionals together to discuss issues, improvements or enhancements to new or existing products and services can utilize HSPA as a gateway. HSPA will send your invitations to a pre-determined list and can advertise your interest (anonymously or not) on our website, sending potential candidates to a pre-screening site or web page of your choosing. Launches Q1 2021.

Base Rates

All rates are net, non-commissionable. Enjoy a 50% discount on pricing for surveys if results are determined to be of value to the Association and are shared. Participant lists can be open to full membership or customized based on geography and generalized job title categories. Participants are determined by acceptance past any screening process set forth by the advertiser. HSPA will continue to provide candidates anonymously until the payment threshold has been cleared and rejection reasons are provided for earlier candidate submissions.

File Requirements

A disclaimer footer from HSPA will be added to your content, indicating HSPA is inviting participation on behalf of your company. Your company may remain anonymous in this footer. Please be sure to include a corresponding URL for the invitation. If providing artwork, high-resolution .png, .jpg or .gif files are preferred. For these files and images, art must be high-resolution (300 dpi). All colors must be CMYK, and cannot be submitted with spot colors. Images downloaded from websites will not be accepted. All artwork must be submitted in the correct size.

If providing HTML content, please be advised of these guidelines: opens and link tracking are automatic; external style sheets are not supported; styles can be added to the code at the top of the email and they’ll be automatically inlined when the email sends or you can use inline styles; iFrames and form code are supported but are usually stripped out by the email client; media queries are not supported; non-standard HTML tags generated by proprietary software (like Microsoft Publisher or Frontpage) will not display correctly in many browsers and email clients; JavaScript will most likely not display because most email clients disable it for security reasons.

Copy Regulations

Acceptance of advertising is subject to HSPA’s approval and with agreement by the advertiser to indemnify and protect from loss or expense resulting from claims or suits based upon content or subject matter of advertising. This includes suits for libel, plagiarism, copyright infringement and unauthorized use of a person’s name or photograph. HSPA will not be liable for any damage or claim arising out of omission or delay in printing. HSPA reserves the right to revise or reject, at its discretion, any advertisement that it deems objectionable in text or illustration.


Any advertiser who does not fulfill an insertion order will be subject to penalty fees of the maximum rate listed per size originally contracted. Payment is required in advance of sending. No cancellations accepted. No lists are directly provided to the advertiser and HSPA will email on behalf of the advertising company. HSPA will permit only one focus group per month per calendar year (12 total), cumulatively of all interested advertisers. Of those 12 focus groups, individual advertisers are permitted only one focus group per calendar year. Advertiser is responsible for any pre-screening sites, additional landing web pages, and actual focus group interactions. Advertiser is further responsible for providing a moderator. HSPA provides only access to its members and does not participate in any of the actualized focus group activities. All pre-requisite requirements for participants must be established with HSPA prior to confirmation of an insertion order.
