What value would you bring to the ongoing efforts of HSPA as a Board member of the organization?

I am driven by my strong passion, dedication and ambition to continuously elevate the Sterile Processing industry. I remain committed to supporting a proactive approach for the future of our industry. I consistently preserve exceptional leadership and communication skills, whether through digital platforms, virtual engagements, or face-to-face interactions. I continuously pursue opportunities and education to broaden my expertise or skills and assist with developing new and fresh educational resources.

I would actively engage in positive relationships with HSPA and its partners to ensure success. I bring a strong technical background in computer skills and platforms and would continue to provide or introduce innovative solutions that may proactively help HSPA and the SP industry. My proficiency in tasks like policy administration would enable me to provide valuable feedback to HSPA when discussing or voting on various changes.

With my vast background in healthcare and Sterile Processing, coupled with my active involvement in the local board of HSPA-NEOCSA chapter, I am well-positioned to provide invaluable support to HSPA. If entrusted with this honor, I would be committed to ensuring a prosperous future for HSPA by upholding accountability for both myself and my colleagues.

How would you support the current mission of HSPA?

I am committed to collaborating closely with the HSPA leadership and board, providing them with my valuable insights, innovative ideas, and expert analysis in the healthcare sector. My proficiency extends across various domains such as Sterile Processing, endoscopy, high-level disinfection, medical devices, and leadership.

With my extensive experience and expertise, I am confident that I can make a significant contribution to the growth and success of HSPA. I would support the organization by enhancing brand awareness, assisting in the development of new education programs, and fostering greater engagement. Ultimately, these endeavors would nurture improved patient safety and align with the industry’s goal of achieving zero harm, zero suffering and zero defects.

My commitment to education, industry improvement, certification, employee engagement, and forward-thinking innovation is evident in the remarkable achievements and high levels of engagement exhibited by the teams I lead. My passion for Sterile Processing is what motivated me to pursue my Golden Crown and obtain my bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration & Leadership on my journey. I remain dedicated to supporting SP in my organization through being a subject matter expert, education guru, peer mentor, coach, innovator, disruptor, and proactive supporter.

In addition to my professional endeavors, I have actively contributed to the preservation of our local HSPA-NEOCSA chapter for over a decade, collectively ensuring its success. Within this role, I have taken on various key responsibilities. I have more recently achieved certification as a Principal Investigator (PI) and completed one study. Lastly, I have played an integral role on two separate hospital emergency response teams by also achieving FEMA training.

To remain up to date in healthcare leadership, I have joined my local ACHE chapter. I continue to maintain a strong presence on LinkedIn, utilizing the platform to share and explore content relevant to the Sterile Processing industry, while fostering connections with colleagues, vendors and like-minded businesses.
