What value would you bring to the ongoing efforts of HSPA as a Board member of the organization?

Having a deeply rooted passion for the Sterile Processing profession stemming from my extensive experience, knowledge, enthusiasm and desire for the best possible patient outcomes, I know I would be a great advocate and representative for this ever-growing field of Sterile Processing experts.

How would you support the current mission of HSPA?

Being a huge advocate for Sterile Processing professionals and patient safety, I will be able to collaborate with a diverse team of subject matter experts on mutually beneficial projects and drive to excellence in achieving maximum results within the unified healthcare ecosystem and aligning with the overall vision of HSPA.

Describe any unique qualifications such as leadership, life, and business expertise that may set you apart from other candidates and position you as an effective board member.

I am a passionate, dedicated and hardworking individual with a desire to touch as many patient lives as possible for the better, bringing along like-minded professionals on the journey for excellence! I believe the field of Sterile Processing is undervalued and there is a lot of work that needs to be done to support and recognize the contributions brought to patient safety.

Having over 20 years of experience within Sterile Processing, I have been able to participate and inspire teams of professionals with the same passion for excellence, education and standards. Starting as a young technician out of high school with little to no experience, I was able to complete my undergraduate degree in chemistry while maintaining a full-time position at the local hospitals. I have progressed into multiple leadership, educational and management roles. I not only have the technical knowledge, strategic foresight, and expertise within the field, but have also cultivated strong relationships throughout my journey, administering trust and respect among my co-workers, peers, industry experts and executive leaders.
